CENTRAL PARK TOWER PERTH | ARTS STRATEGY ACTIVATION PROGRAM

Central Park is located at 152-158 St Georges Terrace, Perth Western Australia. Situated in what is undoubtedly the city’s most central location, the striking structure of Central Park rises from the CBD’s only green space, reaching 261.7m above sea level and 249m above the ground to the top of its spire—making it the tallest building in Perth. It was officially opened on 27 September 1993 and celebrates it’s 30-year anniversary in 2023.

Central Park wants to play a more active role in supporting the Arts industry "giving our creative community the unique spaces in and around our building to showcase their talent will enhance the day-to-day experience of everyone who visits our building and gardens."

Twine was commissioned by Central Park to bring together representatives from across the Arts community. Working with Block Branding, we hosted a collaborative workshop where we explored the central idea of the role of CBD building places in the world of Arts. A series of breakout zones where such topics as: Understanding the ancient reverberations of our CBD; What business can learn from creative industries; Exploring the role of place in changing perceptions for the artist and audience; The role of CBD places as another space for creativity; Exposure and how CBD buildings can help; What ‘places’ are needed for the arts community; Collaborating; How can we do it better, were discussed.
